Fans are devastated after the American metalcore band "Every Time I Die" decided to part in the messiest way possible.
The shocking announcement was shared on Twitter by Jordan Buckley signed by various members of the group.
In the statement, the band revealed that they were informed of something "planned to be released not mutually agreed upon that consists of inaccuracies and controls a narrative to benefit one." (via Loudwire)
Keith Buckley was not included in the letter, saying they have no direct contact with him. They mentioned two possible reasons why.
"it's either impossible for direct communication with him solely or we've been cut off to any and all communication by him himself," they added.
The four remaining members said they were disappointed in what happened and how "this was played out online" in front of their fans.
Keith responded online to his former bandmates by sharing the legal notice given to him last month.
Bassist Steve Micciche gave fans more information regarding the breakup, saying that all members, except Keith, have agreed to "quit."

Fans React to the Messy Breakup
After the band members announced their split, many fans took to Twitter to share their thoughts on the situation, saying they were sad about what happened.
One fan expressed their gratitude to the band, writing, "One of the greatest bands has officially broken up. Thank you Every Time I Die for being the most consistent band ever in existence."
Many fans are still hopeful that the four members who officially quit the band would continue doing their projects, to which Jordan confirmed, saying, "That's the plan. I hope I never stop getting in a room with these 3 to write rippers."
Not all supporters are in favor of the four members as they were divided with Keith Buckley's letter; one fan wrote, "Why you gotta lie tho."
Jordan then responded to the fan, saying the legal document was sent to him to "let him know we'd left," and if Keith ever wanted to replace them, they are good with it legally.
"we just wanted it done professionally and legally. It's actually quite smart. But I understand that people will believe whatever they want," the musician added.
At the time of this writing, Andy, Jordan, Steve, and Goose have not announced whether they will be performing under a different brand name in the future, but they continue to tease fans of a possible new project in the future.
