From managing a Nicki Minaj fan page to becoming the most nominated male artist at the 2020 Grammys, it looks like Lil Nas X is finally living the dream.
However, it looks like one thing has yet to be ticked off of Lil Nas X's checklist - to be forgiven by her idol, Nicki Minaj.
After hashing the City Girls issue, Lil Nas X's brother took to Twitter recently to subtly express how he wanted his brother to be forgiven by the Queen of Rap.
Before entering stardom, Lil Nas X was discreetly managing a prominent Nicki Minaj fan page, Nas Maraj.
When the "Old Town Road singer hit fame, he was asked about his Barbz affiliation, but to everyone's dismay, LNX denied the allegations, even with screenshots and evidence presented.
LNX, not a Barb?
The logic behind? Lil Nas X was not yet ready to reveal his sexuality to the world.
When a fan questioned why Lil Nas X did not simply come out and say he was homosexual, he responded that he was frightened of being outed.
He had not yet come out, and although being a male Nicki Minaj fan does not automatically imply that someone is gay, Lil Nas X was still concerned that his career as an artist would be ended before he had the chance to achieve stardom.
it don’t but people will assume if you had an entire fan page dedicated to nicki u are gay. and the rap/music industry ain’t exactly built or accepting of gay men yet.

This is because LNX believed that people assume that "if you had an entire fan page dedicated to nicki u are gay", citing that the "rap/music industry ain't exactly built or accepting of gay men yet".

With the onslaught of the hate train, Nicki came out to admit that she "felt a bit of sting" of Nas denying being a barb, but he quickly clarified his stance and expressed regret for his actions.
the generous queen, i love u. and i’m sorry i did that in a time where u were already getting so much bandwagon hate. i felt so bad, hoping u wouldn’t see my denial. i was just so afraid of people finding out about me and losing everything before i even got a chance. pic.twitter.com/3kgJctDJt1

At the time of the LNX hate train, he had also asked Nicki over Twitter for what seemed to be a proposal for an upcoming collaboration which Barbz had dismissed, reminding him of his denial of Nicki.
i have this song i want u on and was wondering.... pic.twitter.com/zR4qa4SKV7

It was reported then that Drake and Nicki refused to be on the Montero features that Lil Nas X had proposed.
Forgiveness, please?
In light of the City Girls hashing their issue with the "Anaconda" hitmaker, Lil Nas X's brother took to Twitter to possibly reunite his brother and its long-time idol.

Barbz has mixed feelings about the possible reunion, some saying that LNX had done what he did and he should "accept the consequences" of his denial.
No she don't

Your brother did what he did. It's time to deal with the consequences.
Will the two finally nip the issue in the bud?
