Every year, many artists perform at the Super Bowl's halftime show to showcase their performing abilities to the crowd and share a political statement that's been happening in America, like what Lady Gaga did in 2017.

More recently, reports have circulated about Eminem and Snoop Dogg's certain request, saying NFL has denied them to do specific things while performing; what could this be?

According to several reports, including the one published by Uproxx, Eminem wanted to take a knee during the performance in solidarity with Colin Kaepernick.

Kaepernick kneels during the national anthem because of his goal to use his big platform as a then-quarterback and American civil rights activist to bring attention to particular topics, including police brutality and many more.

Another request that reportedly didn't make it to the cut was Snoop Dogg's outfits for the show, as it has possible gang ties. It also flagged Dr. Dre's lyric from the song "Still D.R.E." which has the words "still not loving police."

The apparent reason why the National Football League didn't want the abovementioned things to happen on the show is that they don't want it to be perceived as a "diversive culture war moment."

At the time of this writing, Eminem, Snoop Dogg, and the NFL have not publicly confirmed whether the abovementioned information is accurate or not.

Despite the recent allegations about the artists' requests for their performance, Dr. Dre is excited for him and his collaborators to deliver their Super Bowl performance. He spent over $7 million to produce.

"I think we're going to go on and do a fantastic show and we're going to do it so big that they can't deny us any more in the future," he said in a previous interview. (via The Wrap)

Aside from the three artists, they will also perform alongside Kendrick Lamar and Mary J. Blige.

They are expected to sing their classic hits, which are staples in the hip-hop music industry.

"We're gonna open more doors for hip-hop artists in the future, making sure the NFL understands that this is what it should have been a long time ago," Dr. Dre noted.

The famed rapper also said this type of collaboration should have happened a long time ago as hip hop music is the "biggest genre of music on the planet" currently.
