Dallas Good, popularly known as one of the members of the famed Canadian rock-western band The Sadies, has passed away at the age of 48.
According to The U.S. Sun, the musician's cause of death is due to natural causes.
The guitarist's good friend, Derek Emerson, spoke to Exclaim to confirm Good's death, saying he was informed by Sean Dean, the band's bassist.
The Sadies also took to their official Instagram account to share the tragic news and give more details behind his cause of death, saying he died on Thursday.
"He died of natural causes while under doctor's care for a coronary illness discovered earlier this week," the band wrote.
The band also expressed their gratitude to their late member, saying he's a "forced to be reckoned with."
Like their fans, The Sadies were also shocked how fast he died, and they joined their supporters in grief.
"The stage is dark today with the all too soon passing of one of music's brightest lights. We love you Dallas," they concluded.
Per the outlet, the band was formed in the mid-90s and co-fronted by Good and his brother, Travis. They went on to release several records throughout their career.
The band released their first album in 1998 and became an instant hit to their Canadian fans. Their last album was "Precious Moments" in 2017.
Aside from their work individually, The Sadies had also collaborated with many artists in the past, including Neko Case, Jon Langford, Gord Downie, Andre Williams, and many more.
