Jack Harlow Makes Waves With 'Nail Tech', Receives Rave Compliments From THIS Rap Icon

Not more than a day since Jack Harlow released his new music, the budding rapper already got a huge co-sign from one hip-hop icon.

With his banger 2020 hit "WHAT'S POPPIN," Harlow is ushering a new season with his freshly released single, "Nail Tech," featuring an appearance with City Girl Young Miami.

Like any budding rapper or hip-hop artist in the music industry, they all look up to an icon/legend they have been greatly influenced by.

In this case, the Kentucky MC looked up to the person every 21st generation hip-hop artist idolizes, Kanye West.

Although controversial in the past few weeks because of his marriage fiasco with Kim Kardashian and SNL Mainstay Pete Davidson and gang up with Travis Scott, Billie Eilish, and Kid Cudi, Ye still had something good to say amid the drama he is embroiled in.

Jack Harlow teased his upcoming single in an Instagram video of him last February 10. Talking to his therapist in conflict of when he is finally ready to "drop" something, Jack confirmed to do it "next week."

The video, which seemed to be a teaser for his release date, amassed almost a million views on Instagram.

Then on February 16, the 23-year old rapper tweeted the cover art of his new single "Nail Tech," set to be released on February 18. A day after, Harlow boldly took to Twitter to solidify his spot as a new artist in the scene.

Yesterday, he released his much-anticipated single along with a music video with City Girl Yung Miami.

Harlow recently made a fuss by implying that he loves the City Girls rapper, but it appears that it was all a ruse to promote his new track.

If it really is just to hype the single, some might say it worked as the video already gained 2.7 million views on Youtube and continue to make waves on social media.

The new track goes unnoticed, especially by "DONDA" hitmaker Kanye West.

Jack Harlow among Ye's Top 5?

Since the release of "WHAT'S POPPIN" in 2020, which peaked in No. 8 in the Billboard Hot 100 chart, it looks like "Nail Tech" might follow suit.

In his Instagram account, Ye posted a screenshot of Harlow's Nail Tech Music Video on youtube. He captioned it with might be an overwhelming compliment for someone to receive, especially if he idolized him.

Calling it "one of the greatest moments" of his entire life, the 23-year old rapper seemed to be very humbled by the compliment he got from Ye.

With the co-sign that he received, is it possible that a collaboration between the two might happen soon?
