Mod Sun, Avril Lavigne's lover, helped her put together her new album, Love Sux, which is out today. The whole collaboration proved helpful in transforming their relationship, taking it to a whole new level.

It's safe to say that Avril Lavigne has enjoyed working with her boyfriend after enlisting his help with some of the tracks comprising her newest album. Some couples would have ended up fighting each other and leaving one after when mixing work and pleasure, after all.

"I mean, he's a really incredible songwriter and like [when] we met, I loved his song 'Karma.' I was like, 'Who did you write this with and who produced it?'" Lavigne, 37, shared to Us Weekly of her beau, 34, on Friday, March 4, while promoting her newest album "Love Sux."

"And he was like, 'John Feldmann.' And so we got together to work because I was a fan of his music and he introduced me to John Feldmann and then the three of us just wrote so many songs and had so much fun together," she added.

She shared that she really felt the support of her boyfriend in a lot of things when it comes to her music. She revealed that her boyfriend actually applauded a lot of her ideas and really got her vision.

Earlier in February 2021, Us Weekly revealed that the "Sk8er Boi" singer and the rapper were seeing one other after the rapper displayed a neck tattoo of the latter's name. Although she was originally wary of dating following her previous relationships, the two obviously hit it if off.

Her colorful love life makes it understandable why she's not too keen on finding love again. The Former Sum 41 and Nickelback lead vocalist Deryck Whibley and Nickelback's Chad Kroeger were her past husbands. Both marriages ended quite sadly, enough to make Lavigne NOT want a relationship for a while. The universe had other plans, though.

"Honestly, I really believed in love. And then I went through the wringer with it," the "Complicated" singer generously shared to Nylon in December 2021.

"Then I finally got back up on my feet and had a relationship just to get f-ked over again. I was just like, 'I can't believe that I've been hurt or mistreated by this many people. I need a break from relationships," she added. The singer said that as she expereinced heartbreaks repeatedly, she got sick of the whole romance thing and believed she should just focus on herself.
