Aside from Taylor Swift's iconic lyrics for the 10-minute "All Too Well" music film, one thing stands out more - its impeccable casting of Sadie Sink as Taylor herself and Dylan O' Brien as Jake Gyllenhaal.
As fans say, Taylor Swift's pandemic time has been nothing but very productive. The pop princess has managed to release two surprise albums, "folklore," and "evermore," as well as two re-recordings of her previous albums, "Fearless" and "Red."
The "Red (Taylor's Version) brought back 2012 nostalgia to Swifties. The re-recorded masterpiece brought forth Swift's 10-minute version of the 2012 hit "All Too Well."
The 10-minute track, which had plenty more versions after, is one of Taylor's historic tracks as it became Billboard's longest number one-song of all time.
As a result of the song's widespread popularity among her fans, the 11-time Grammy winner also wrote and filmed a short film to accompany it, in which she starred as Sadie Sink and O'Brien in the lead parts.
Taylor Chooses Dylan O' Brien for the 'All Too Well' Film
O' Brien's performance on the film, and Sink's too, were very much commended by fans, who even considered the casting as "perfect."
Although not confirmed, fans have speculated that Swift wrote the song to recount his rather tragic relationship with ex-boyfriend Jake Gyllenhaal, who is the spitting image of Dylan O' Brien in the actual film.
Finally, Taylor broke her silence and talked to Bustle to confirm her real reason for casting O'Brien for the part.
"Dylan was my first choice for the 'All Too Well' short film because he has that versatility I was looking for. I'd seen his work and heard nothing but wonderful things about him as a person," Swift explained.
The 32-year old superstar revealed that she wanted Dylan to play the part because "ultimately," she wanted to work with people "who love what they do and come at it with enthusiasm."
"He absolutely blew me away and I feel really lucky that I gained such a great friend from the experience too," she elaborated.
Dylan, in response, gushed on Swift's work ethic while working with the music film. The actor noted how open and collaborative the popstar is to him and Sadie on their inputs and ideas.
