Megan Thee Stallion and 1501 Certified Entertainment's conflict reached new heights on Monday, when the label filed a countersuit against the rap artist.
The company, led by CEO Carl Crawford, alleges that Megan Thee Stallion's latest album for 1501 wasn't an album at all - and they expect more from the 27-year-old.
The "Savage" hitmaker, on the other hand, feels their grounds for countersue is silly and resorted to Twitter to express her displeasure with her formal label.
She even referred to them as "greedy men."
"Let me gooooo," wrote the Houston native on Twitter.
"First, the man in charge of my label said that I don't make him any money... Now he's trying to keep me on his label because he wants to make more money, hahaha if I'm not earning you any money, why don't you just dump me?"
"My attorneys requested him for an expenditure report (money 1501 allegedly spent on ME)," she said. Why would this adult guy place his gold and chains there... "Lord, deliver me from this scumbag label."
Megan Thee Stallion's tweets were promptly answered to through Instagram by the label's CEO, who shared images of the TMZ exclusive relating to their case.
In the caption, he asked Megan, whose true name is Megan Jovon Ruth Pete, to quit playing the victim because she supposedly hasn't paid for a concert since 2019 while hiding behind Roc Nation.
Carl went on to say that the rapper should "keep that b---t a-mixtape" and that she should "send over that straight drop whenever u ready."
Megan Thee Stallion, on the other hand, didn't stop criticizing the CEO after viewing his Instagram post.
The "Kitty Kat" rapper has stated that she does not wish to be signed to 1501. She also claimed she owed neither him nor the label any money and that she hadn't been paid since 2019.
Megan Thee Stallion and Carl Crawford's Beef
Megan Thee Stallion was enraged last month when she saw the 1501 CEO's Instagram post regarding her decision to drop her lawsuit against the company and Rap-A-Lot Records founder, K. Price.
The rapper then shared his comments on his Instagram account, stating that she will still sue him for the money she claims the label owes her.
Megan Thee Stallion filed a lawsuit in 2020, citing 1501 and J. Price of preventing her from releasing new songs after negotiating what she saw to be an unjust contract she signed at the outset of her career.
Carl denied the accusations at the time.
