Olivia Rodrigo has been on a roll since the release of her debut single "drivers license" in 2021, but it seems like she's ready to move on from that phase of her life, as revealed in a recent interview.
Ahead of the release of her upcoming Disney+ movie "Olivia Rodrigo: driving home 2 u," the 19-year-old songstress spoke to People Magazine to detail how her life turned upside down since the release of her first song.
The "High School Musical: The Musical Series" actress said the process of making her debut album, "SOUR," really challenged her.
Speaking about how she has changed over one year, Rodrigo noted that she's grown so much and learned many things about herself.
"I definitely feel like I am a more confident person today because of it," she added.
To detail the entire process of filming her movie, the "deja vu" singer said it was "super nostalgic," and the film will revolve around the past era of her life and "closing that chapter."
The outlet noted that the movie will feature the young singer riding in her vintage Ford Bronco to visit Salt Lake City, the place where she began writing the chart-dominating album "SOUR."
Along her road trip, the actress will be performing live arrangements of her songs while breaking down what the tracks are all about.
Olivia Rodrigo Considers Herself as a Hopeless Romantic
In addition to explaining her songs one by one, the singer will also tackle the topic of love and her past relationships.
Despite singing her heart out in the songs "drivers license," "traitor," and many heartbreak songs, Rodrigo considers herself a hopeless romantic.
Speaking about her personal experience, the singer said she felt differently about love when she wrote the album compared to today.
"I think when you're going through a heartbreak like that, you can get really disillusioned with the concepts of relationships," the "traitor" singer says," she added.
