According to reports on Friday, Brandy Norwood's former maid is suing her for $250,000. Not too long ago, the singer was embroiled in another legal controversy. That time, she was accused of losing an expensive ring she was loaned to wear. It's not clear if she lost it or just opted to keep it for herself though.

According to TMZ, the ex-employee, who is over 60, alleges the singer fired her due to her age.

The cleaner alleges she was sacked last month after 20 years of service at the Moesha star's Calabasas mansion at $125 per day.

The lady claims she was fired because Norwood did not want an "older" housekeeper.

Her suit also included accusations taht Brandy did not offer her "legally mandated breaks" and did not pay her for the last two days she worked.

Norwood's camp said that none of these are true but they would be consulting lawyers to know what the next steps would be.

The housekeeper wants $250K in damages and two days' worth of backpay.

This is Brandy's second lawsuit in 2022. Norwood was sued in January about a lost $45,000 ring from the American Music Awards in November.

She is being accused of allegedly retaining or losing a ring she was loaned for an awards event.

Elle B. Mambetov, a fashion designer and proprietor of a Beverly Hills studio, sued the singer and her stylist Ashley Sean Thomas.

Brandy and her stylist allegedly never returned the $44,200 Dreamboule Big Bang Love Black Ring.

The accessory is 18K rose gold with white diamonds and a sapphire crystal dome with a striking black volcanic stone contrast.

In the complaint, Mambetov alleges Thomas told her the jewelry was last seen on the piano of Brandy's Calabasas estate.

Notably, Brandy did not wear the ring at the AMAs when she presented the Favorite Pop Album award to Taylor Swift.

For such high-profile occasions, stylists generally put together multiple distinct dress and jewelry combinations, thus borrowing outfits is usual.

Mambetov sued Brandy and Thomas for the value of her ring and additional damages, claiming she has suffered both financial and emotional losses.

Mambetov wants Brandy and Thomas to pay her back for the Dreamboule Big Bang Diamond Ring and other damages. She claims she has lost money and mental stress since the item she borrowed was never returned to the Beverly Hills shop.

Thomas' spokesman later denied the claims, saying he 'looks forward to presenting the facts in the right venue, which probably means at court.
