After the successful release of her second album "777," Latto just name-dropped huge names that she would be collaborating with soon.

Latto's highest-charting song, "Big Energy," will get a new treatment for the upcoming release of a massive remix.

Latto Features Mariah Carey and DJ Khaled on New Remix

In an almost telling Twitter exchange between Latto and the Songbird Supreme Mariah Carey yesterday, fans of the budding rapper celebrated the impending collaboration at the social media platform.

Hours after, Latto confirmed the news by dropping a release date for her remix with Mariah Carey featuring DJ Khaled.

Donning a hot pink tight dress, Latto, and Mariah Carey will drop the "Big Energy" on Monday, March 28, 2022.

As some fans were confused about the unlikely collaboration, Latto sampled Tom Tom Club's 1981 single, "Genius of Love," on her hit track.

"Genius of Love" can also be recognized in Carey's 1995 song "Fantasy."

StreamCut/RCA Records released "Big Energy in September, peaking at the No. 14 spot of the Billboard Hot 100. The track marks the Atlanta native's first Top 40 hit and her highest-charting single to date.

The new remix comes on the heels of Latto's release of the album "777" this week. Her second album featured star-studded collaborations with Lil Wayne, 21 Savage, Lil Durk, Childish Gambino, Nardo Wick, and Kodak Black, which got her into a separate controversy.

Latto and Kodak Black Collaboration Fiasco

Speaking to The Breakfast Club last week, Latto hinted that a male collaborator in her new album almost did not even make it to the cut.

The host, seemingly shocked by the "Wheelie" hitmaker's revelation, asked the rapper for more details. "I don't care, baby, Imma just keep it 100. It's a feature on my album, that it was difficult to clear, and they like, tryna... Drop they nuts on me because I won't respond to a DM," Latto elaborated.

Days after, Latto released the tracklist of her new album, and fans almost unanimously pointed fingers at the "Super Gremlin" singer as to who Latto had referred to in the interview.

Kodak came to defense and denied the issue; Latto stopped by the program again and clarified that she did not want the issue to be a big thing while not also denying that Kodak was the one she was referring to.

However, HotNewHipHop confirmed that there was indeed a problem between the two's collaboration but still did not confirm it was the indecent proposal matter.
