Taylor Hawkins' chilling voice mail was revealed by Lollapalooza creator Perry Farrell and his wife, Etsy, just days before his death.
The drummer for the Foo Fighters was discovered dead at a luxurious hotel in Colombia on Friday, just days before the band was supposed to headline the event in Sao Paulo, Brazil.
According to reports, authorities discovered eleven drugs in his body, including painkillers, antidepressants, and THC.
But, Friday night, Perry and Etsy paid tribute to him by sharing a statement from the 50-year-old artist.
According to Globo 1, they received the audio message on Thursday night.
Taylor Hawkins reportedly said, "Take care of each other. And I'll take care of myself."
He went on to say, "And I'll see you in São Paulo. I love, love, love you. Sleep well."
Taylor Hawkins died on March 20, only five days before the Foo Fighters performed at Lollapalooza.
However, they performed some of their songs, including "The Pretender" and "Learn to Fly," onstage in Buenos Aires' Hopdromo de San Isidro.
Dave Grohl took Taylor's place on stage and played the drums in his place while his bandmate channeled the late Freddie Mercury.
Videos of Taylor singing "Somebody to Love" and telling supporters, "I f--- love Dave Grohl, dude," began spreading as well.
According to Deadline, Taylor stated that if it weren't for Dave, he would be delivering pizzas or managing the drum department.
It was Taylor's final performance at the event.
Meanwhile, Miley Cyrus dedicated her Lollapalooza performance to the late drummer on March 26, captioning a photo of the drummer performing with the statement, "This is how I'll always remember you."
Taylor Hawkins Cause of Death
Taylor Hawkins, drummer for the Foo Fighters, was said to have a heart that weighed twice as much as the norm for males his age.
According to the Daily Mail, forensic experts discovered during a test that the musician's heart weighed at least 600 grams, which is more than double the norm of 300 to 350 grams for men.
Several narcotics were discovered in the 50-year-old drummer's hotel room when he was discovered dead.
On Twitter, writer Luis Velez stated, "Authorities in Colombia discovered marijuana, antidepressants, painkillers, and heroin. There were at least 10 distinct compounds discovered."
He first stated that Taylor overdosed, but subsequently changed his statement in a follow-up tweet, indicating that ten chemicals were discovered, but "The official release makes no mention of an overdose. The investigation is ongoing."
Taylor Hawkins died as a result of cardiovascular failure, according to the Daily Mail on Sunday.
