Swedish House Mafia, who rose to fame in 2010 at the height of EDM, is making a big move on their music.

Called "the faces of mainstream progressive house music", the Swedish House Mafia recently sold their master recordings and publishing to Pop House Entertainment.

ABBA's Bjorn Ulvaeus co-founded Pophouse Entertainment. The company is widely prominent in various projects, gaming, and virtual experiences.

Variety reported that Swedish House Mafia and Pophouse Entertainment would be collaborating to "develop and amplify" the trio's brand globally.

Aside from the supergroups' masters, Pophouse Entertainment also acquired the masters and publishing of one of its members, Axwell Ingrosso.

While the move of both parties can be considered "massive," terms of the newly inked deal have not been disclosed to the media.

Swedish House Mafia is Pophouse Entertainment's New Partner

Pophouse Entertainment appointed former Columbia Records' Steve Barnett on their investment advisory committee, a body in charge of getting investors on huge entertainment brands' legacies.

Pophouse CEO Per Sundin highlighted that while the initial deal between them and Swedish House Mafia only involved the acquisition of masters, they said that this kind of joint venture is what they are planning on pursuing in the future.

The trio, which seemed to be confident about their massive step, is optimistic about the collaboration.

"It feels great for us to partner up with a company like Pophouse that will do much more than simply acquire our creative work. Pophouse will invest funds, know-how and resources to bring our music into areas of entertainment where it hasn't been before and for new audiences to discover our legacy," they said.

The deal is ahead of the trio's release of their debut studio album "Paradise Again." The much-anticipated album will be released through Republic Records on April 15, 2022.

The album, which the group will debut on Coachella 2022, is not part of the recent Pophouse acquisition.

Headlining alongside recent Oscar winner Billie Eilish, Grammy Winner Harry Styles, and an unconfirmed Kanye West, the Swedish House Mafia is returning to the desert in this year's Coachella festival 2022.

Although not confirmed on what date the EDM supergroup will perform, Variety sources report that Swedish House Mafia is set to close the festival on its last day.
