After the unexpected death of Taylor Hawkins, Foo Fighters made a big move to mourn the passing of their longtime member, as announced on social media; are they canceling their tour?
According to People Magazine, the iconic rock band released a statement confirming that their upcoming tour dates will be canceled after the drummer died in Bogotá, Colombia, last week.
Taking to their official Twitter account, Foo Fighters wrote, "It is with great sadness that Foo Fighters confirm the cancellation of all upcoming tour dates in light of the staggering loss of our brother Taylor Hawkins."
The band concluded their statement by saying they're sorry for the disappointment, but they ask fans to take this time to "grieve, heal, pull our loved one s close" and appreciate the music they created together.
The statement was signed by the remaining band members, Dave Grohl, Pat Smear, Chris Shiflett, Nate Mendel, and Rami Jaffee.

Multiple Types of Substances Found in Taylor Hawkins' System After a Toxicology Test
Hawkins died on Friday after complaining of chest pains in his hotel room, hours before a scheduled live performance in Colombia.
Even though paramedics responded to his hotel room, they were unsuccessful in resuscitating him.
According to a toxicology report for the late rocker, the musician had several types of substances in his system after having a urine test.
The Attorney General's Office of Colombia's official Twitter account announced that the drummer had THC, benzodiazepines, opioids, and tricyclic antidepressants in his system.
The National Institute of Legal Medicine is reportedly continuing medical studies to determine Hawkins' actual cause of death.
Foo Fighters, Fans Devastated Over Taylor Hawkins' Death
Shortly after the drummers' death, Foo Fighters confirmed the tragic news in a statement, saying they were devastated by the untimely loss of their band member.
"His musical spirit and infectious laughter will live on with all of us forever," they added.
The band concluded their statement by saying their hearts go out to his family, and they ask the public for privacy in this "unimaginably difficult time."
At the time of this writing, a representative for Hawkins and Foo Fighters has not commented further.
