Korean supergroup BTS once again proved that they are one of the most successful boy groups worldwide as they hold Billboard's Hot Trending charts in a new historic record.

Composed of Jin, Suga, J-Hope, RM, Jimin, V, and Jungkook, BTS was the first all-South Korean act to peak at No. 1 on the coveted US Billboard Global 200 and the Billboard Hot 100.

BTS accomplished this feat with their Grammy-nominated single "Dynamite" in 2020.

Not more than a year later, the band released another worldwide hit, "Butter," which is nominated for a Grammy for Best Pop/Duo Performance.

"Butter," like "Dynamite," debuted atop the Billboard Hot 100 and held Billboard's Hot Trending Songs for fifteen weeks now.

'Butter' Extends History As Billboard's Hot Trending Song

BTS' smash hit, "Butter," held the top spot on the Hot Trending Songs chart for fifteen consecutive weeks since.

The Billboard Hot Trending Songs Powered by Twitter is a real-time ranking of the most discussed songs on Twitter globally. Viewers can access the chart and select the ranking either the last 24 hours or weekly.

As of this writing, "Butter" holds a 4-million lead ahead of another Korean boy group Stray Kids' "MANIAC," with 1.5 million mentions.

Despite its relatively recent release in May 2021, the song has been a consistent top performer, breaking Spotify's first-day streaming record with 11 million streams worldwide on the first day of release.

Additionally, the band's official music video for "Butter" became the band's most popular YouTube video, breaking the platform's all-time view record with 108.2 million views in only 24 hours.

Is BTS Performing 'Butter' at the 2022 Grammys?

"Butter" is making its Grammy debut in Las Vegas as the Recording Academy has announced that BTS will be one of the first set of performers on Music's Biggest Night.

However, fans are still waiting on the announcement if the group would be complete in their upcoming performance at the Grammys.

After J-Hope tested positive for COVID-19 last week and was now cleared, Jungkook tested positive last Monday for the virus, days ahead of the ceremony.

BTS are predicted to finally take home the Best Pop/Duo Group Performance award after losing to Lady Gaga and Ariana Grande's "Rain On Me" last year.
