Speculations that Drake is about to release new music have been fueled by a picture of him at a recording studio that he posted on Instagram.

According to Music-News.com, the Canadian star suggested that he is currently working on the follow-up project to last year's 'Certified Lover Boy' because he shared what feels like behind-the-scenes of what he's doing on his Instagram Stories.

An unidentified producer is seen working at a mixing station in a poorly lit studio setting in an image shared without a comment. Drake appeared to have taken the picture while sitting on a sofa next to a massive speaker stack.

If he's releasing new music, Drake is certainly one busy man. Just last month, Drake said there are certain "highly interactive shows" planned in New York and Toronto for his fans to enjoy. Further details are yet to be released.

"They're gonna be something different, something that I've never done before. Gonna be a highly interactive experience," Drake shared in a radio interview.

He shared that there will be a lot of his brothers there.

Since the beginning of 2019, Drake has headlined a number of concerts. In Los Angeles in December, he appeared with Kanye West, his longtime opponent, at the Free Larry Hoover charity concert.

Apart from doing his own thing, Nicki Minaj also said Drake will be featured in her upcoming album, which would be a follow-up to her "Queen," released back in 2018.

So its completely possible that's actually working on that collab right now.

If that is the case, this is hardly the first time. These two rap megastars have collaborated repeatedly through the years. Some of the tracks that they have worked together in are "Make Me Proud," "Only," "No Frauds," "Seeing Green," and more recently, "Papi's Home" from Drake's latest LP.

Nicki Minaj shared how she and Drake's working dynamics looked like too.

Asked by one follower how long it takes to come up with lyrics, the "Super Bass" hitmaker shared, "Few mins. What's funny is- that was originally 1 of the many lines I had on Seeing Green. My SG verse was just way too long so I kept creating new edits and sending back and forth to Champagne Papi [Drake]. Cuz he was like Wayne verse already long as well, so we gotta try to shorten the song. (sic)"
