The Recording Academy has finally decided who will take the last spot for the roster of performers this year.

After Carrie Underwood, John Legend, J Balvin, Silk Sonic, Billy Strings, Maria Becerra, and Aymee Nuvolia "completed" the list of performers this Sunday, news of a final performer has been circulating online.

Grammys Need One Last Perfomer

It seemed like the spot was left vacant because Foo Fighters pulled out of their Grammy performance following the sudden and tragic death of their drummer, Taylor Hawkins, in Bogota, Colombia.

This year, Foo Fighters are nominated for three Grammy Awards, including Best Rock Album, Best Rock Performance, and Best Rock Song. Any award they would be receiving will be considered a posthumous honor to the late drummer Taylor Hawkins.

Yesterday, rumors that another chart-topper is in talks to take the last spot on the roster.

Speculations on Taylor Swift, Lady Gaga, Justin Bieber, and Kanye West have been all over Twitter as their respective fans await a 2022 performance from their idols.

But as per the Recording Acadamy, 12-time Grammy winner Lady Gaga shall finally be completing the jampacked roster of performers on Sunday's telecast.

Lady Gaga on The Grammy Awards 2022

Just like most of the performers on the upcoming Grammy Awards 2022, Lady Gaga has received five nominations this year for her stellar work with Music legend Tony Bennett.

Gaga's collaborative work with Tony Bennett, "Love For Sale," earned both of them nominations for Album of the Year and Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album.

One of its most successful singles, "I Got A Kick Out of You," a Cole Porter original, bagged nods for Record of the Year, Best Pop Duo/Group Performance, and Best Music Video.

As much as everyone would like to see Gaga and Bennett accept the Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album award like Billboard predicts they would, Bennett is unlikely to attend the ceremony as he has yet to confirm because of his existing condition.

Since she sang "Shallow" at the Grammys in 2019, this marks the "Rain on Me" hitmaker's first performance in years.

Trevor Noah is hosting the 64th Annual Grammy Awards on Sunday, April 3, 2022, at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT on CBS, as it will also be streaming on Paramount Plus.
