After a viral performance at the GRAMMYs last Sunday, the worldwide sensation BTS is now set to dominate Las Vegas once again for their string of concerts. However, one member might be skipping the performance because of an injury.
BTS Jin Skips Las Vegas Performance Because of Injury
NME reported recently that Jin would be "minimising his participation in BTS' upcoming Las Vegas residency" because of a specific injury.
Big Hit Music, BTS' label, said in a Weverse statement that Kim Seok-Jin (Jin) would be unable to participate in the upcoming "BTS Permission To Dance On Stage - Las Vegas' concerts" because of his injury to his left finger.
Jin has recently recovered from surgery to repair the extensor of his finger.
As per various medical advice, the 29-year old singer has been told to "refrain from vigorous movement as any impact on his finger due to the amount of activities increased more than necessary."
"While the artist himself strongly wished to participate in the performance in full, our company has decided to follow physician advice and minimise Jin's movements during the "BTS Permission To Dance On Stage - Las Vegas' concerts," Big Hit said in a statement.
According to Big Hit, if Jin strains his finger again while performing, he may need another surgery to "rectify" the injury.
Jin might still be performing after all, but only to a certain extent for him to not badly strain his hand or his fingers, the statement says.
"We will continue to place the highest priority on the health and safety of our artists, and strive to ensure that all the members of BTS can meet their fans in full health," the label promised.

All four BTS concerts will be broadcasted simultaneously at the nearby MGM Grand Garden Arena for the "LIVE PLAY in LAS VEGAS" event, as the last day will be streamed online.
Just last Sunday, the supergroup performed at the MGM Grand Garden Arena for the 64th Annual GRAMMY Awards, where they were nominated for Best Pop/Duo Group Performance for their chart-topping hit "Butter."
