Victoria Beckham aka "Posh Spice"
Victoria Caroline Adams was born on April 17, 1974, in Essex, England, to parents who were both teachers. She was raised in a privileged environment. Earlier in their lives, her parents, Jacqueline and Anthony, established a thriving electronics wholesale company. Victoria, her sister Louise, and her brother Christian were all raised in affluent surroundings.
Until she saw the movie "Fame" in 1980, she was ridiculed at school and wanted to pursue a career in show business. Victoria's parents enrolled her in the Jason Theatre School, and later in the Laine Theatre Arts School, where she learned dancing and modeling, among other things.
It was in St. Mary's High School, where she was embarrassed by her family's affluence and begged her father not to drop her off in front of the school in his Rolls Royce, was where she studied.
A British weekly newspaper, The Stage, published an advertisement in March 1994 seeking female candidates who were "street smart, extrovert, ambitious, and able to sing and dance." Beckham auditioned for the position and was offered the job. In the same year, she became a member of the all-female pop group the Spice Girls, which included Geri Halliwell, Emma Bunton, Melanie Brown, and Melanie Chisholm as well as others.

This was followed by eight more number-one singles from the albums "Spice," "Spiceworld," and "Forever," which were all released in the same year. The Spice Girls are the best-selling female group of all time, having sold more than 80 million albums worldwide since their formation in 1996.
The Spice Girls disbanded in 2000 in order to concentrate on their individual careers.
Following the dissolution of the Spice Girls, she signed with Virgin Records and Telstar Records, and went on to have four UK Top 10 songs.

"Out of Your Mind" was Victoria's first single, which was released in the summer of 2000. The track peaked at number two on the United Kingdom singles charts. Her next single, "Not Such an Innocent Girl," was released in September 2001 and debuted at number six on the Billboard Hot 100 chart the following month. In October 2001, she released her first solo album, "Victoria Beckham," which peaked at number 10 on the United Kingdom album charts.
In 2007, the Spice Girls announced that they will be reuniting for a tour. A year after the publication of their "Greatest Hits" CD, the band announced a tour that began on December 2, 2007. The Spice Girls' Return to the Stage tour visited 47 cities across Europe and North America in 2012.
In total, the tour is believed to have generated more than US $70 million in revenue, as well as $107.2 million in ticket and merchandise sales. The tour was the eighth most successful concert tour in the history of the industry. When the band performed at The O2 Arena in London for 17 nights straight, it became the highest-grossing engagement of the year, raking in $33.8 million and drawing 256,647 fans.
