This week, Erica Banks appeared on Revolt TV's Big Facts show to talk about her effort to get a Nicki Minaj feature.
Starting with "I love Nicki," Banks said. "But I just felt like, I been trying to reach out to her for a long time but I felt like she kinda ignores me and she entertains girls who really can't rap," she added.
Despite her refusal to name specific musicians, Banks, a native Texan, continued to rail against the "girls who can't really rap."
"I agree that Nicki kinda fuck with the girls who can't really rap, when you got the girls over here (herself) who really do," Banks declared. "Now, some people might get mad at me for saying that, but it's the truth. Everybody can't rap," she added.
Her statements may be her own opinion on what Nicki Minaj does or does not do, but it naturally stings for musicians who got to or are working with the legendary female rapper.

Nicki Minaj's new track "Blick Blick" features Coi Leray, who is obviously displeased with what was said. She took to Instagram to clap back at Banks, tagging a video of Erica's interview with many laughing emojis.
Banks' remarks are made barely two months after she opened up about where she stands in the whole rap game. She even said she's the best female rapper, insinuating she's better than Nicki Minaj herself.
"I'm the best female rapper in 2022," Banks wrote on Twitter in February. "Argue wit yo supportive homegirl."
The picture painted by Banks about Minaj cannot be true though. Minaj seems really appreciative of other rappers' work - male or female. She is even generous in messaging Doja Cat's massive win in the Grammys. Doja Cat is presently being debated upon - is she a rapper or not? But Nicki Minaj does not care, she's happy to be happy for someone!
"Congratulations on your Grammy mama," the "Anaconda" rapper wrote. "You really really really really really really really fkng deserve it ."
There's no hiding how the two are very supportive of each other. Back in 2020, Doja Cat shared an Instagram Live video saying, "Congratulations to Nicki Minaj on her No. 1, her second f-ing No. 1 of... two No. 1's in one year... holy s-t."
