Smokepurpp is defending himself after a video of him playing in front of a mostly empty crowd went viral. The rapper said not to worry because truly, his tour was quite "lit" so far. It remains to be seen if fans are convinced. Already, some fans truly believe this is the aftermath of him calling out Kanye and claiming the latter owes him $9 Million. Some fans mocked his "joke" of a tour, while others said he should be further supported.

Smokepurpp is presently on the second leg of his "We Outside" Tour. it appears not to be going well though as a video caputred the "Duck" rhymer's set during a recent show in Michigan on April 16, which shows him performing to an audience that was significantly smaller than the venue's capacity. The uploader even said the turnout cannot pack a "high school bathroom."

Throughout the video, Purpp sings his song "123." Even though there appear to be a few dozen ecstatic supporters towards the front of the stage, the camera pans to the right to reveal that the auditorium is almost completely bare of people.

"Smokepurpp performing in front of a wild crowd of 10 people in Pontiac Michigan. Was a movie fr," the person who uploaded the video to TikTok noted.

Many started to mock him afterwards and described him as being a flop and already cancelled.

Taking to Instagram on Monday (April 18), Smokepurpp recognized the discussion surrounding his lightly attended show and expressed his displeasure. He shared a video of highlights from the various tour stops, along with the message that the rumors are not true.

"Tour been lit DONT BELIEVE THE HYPE, I love what I do and ima give my fans a show regardless, I bet they won't post this tho.. WE OUTSIDE !¡ NEXT STOP : EAST COAST Ticket link in bio ."

Smokepurpp, recently made headlines for asserting that Kanye West owes him $9 million in royalties for his writing credit on the song, "I Love it."

Ye and Lil Pump collaborated on the popular song "I Love It" in 2018, with Smokepurpp credited as a writer on the song, which debuted at No. 6 on the Billboard Hot 100. Ye and Lil Pump released a music video for the song in 2018. Although it has been nearly four years since the release of the song, it appears that Smokepurpp has not yet gotten payment for his services.

As reported by No Jumper, Smokepurpp released a video on social media declaring, "Kanye, n***a, you owe me like $9 million, n***a. Hit my line, n***a, or my lawyer's gonna hit your lawyer."

In addition to threatening a lawsuit, the Florida rapper shared the Wikipedia page on which his name is credited for the music with the description, "Receipts ion gotta cap for the internet," as well as a screenshot of the page. Purpp stated in a 2019 interview with No Jumper that he was solely responsible for the lyrics of the song. It was Pump's birthday when they decided to work on the song, and he stated how they came to write it.

"Basically, it was Pump's birthday...he wanted to make a song 'bout this and I just wrote a song...it randomly came out." When asked if he received a writing credit for the track, Purpp confirmed, "Yeah man, I get money." Ye just ignored the callout.
