6ix9ine wants the world to believe that he is broke once more, despite the fact that he is still all over social media flashing racks upon racks upon racks of merchandise.
Just a few days ago, he shared how loaded he was and that he owns five pieces of jewelry that can buy him at least five mansions. That was not all: His trunk was also filled with cold, hard cash - at least in the view of those watching his video.
In an interview with TMZ Live, 6ix9ine said that he utilized nothing more than prop money in a recent Instagram video in which he could be seen flaunting $2 million in cash. The interview was published on April 19.
It was when the interviewers inquired about the possible repercussions of flashing that much of cash around that Tekashi admitted to utilizing the fugazi cash. It's not clear if he's just being humble, honest, or worried because it can be remembered that he's wanted for millions in damages.
It can also be remembered that he recently informed a judge that he did not have the $11.8 million in damages that victims of a 2018 heist were claiming in a civil case as a result of his involvement.
"I ain't got it right now," 6ix9ine told TMZ. "I ain't got it, and that was prop money. I said I ain't got it."

6ix9ine then went on to explain that he is only showing off the phony racks on social media to delight his 21.7 million followers and that he has no ulterior motive for doing so.
"Like I said, I'm an entertainer, and obviously, we talking about it, so I did a pretty good job at entertaining people," he said.
He can be seen walking about with a couple fancy sports cars and practically making it rain with $2 million in cash during the course of the Instagram video in question.
His new music video for "Gine," which was released on April 15, was also promoted. He also claimed that even though he had been out of the game for two years, he was still able to afford to maintain his extravagant lifestyle.
"The Real King of New York, I'm back," wrote 6ix9ine in the post's caption. "Ask them post there house, they cars, they bank account. You don't live like this. I own everything, you guys lease. I took off rap 2 years. I could do that, y'all can't. The Real King of New York. Tomorrow Gine music video 3:00 PM eastern."
Meanwhile, the rapper admitted to a judge in March this year that he isn't generating money off of his music and that he spends his life in fear while serving as the defendant in the civil lawsuit brought forth by the robbery victims.
Since making his triumphant return to the rap game and social media, Tekashi has been creating a lot of noise throughout the business, particularly when it comes to Fivio Foreign, which he produced.
Recently, the "GUMMO" rapper called out Brooklyn drill rapper Fivi for his boasts that he is the new King of New York, as well as the sales of his first album, B.I.B.L.E., in its first week of release.
