Randy Blythe Gets Replacement Vocalist for Ongoing' Lamb of God Tour'
Sharing on their social media accounts recently, attendees of their Grand Rapids, Michigan concert were alerted of the recent news.
"Randy Blythe tested positive for COVID over the weekend and has been isolating away from the rest of the band. While his symptoms have been mild and he's on the mend, he will not be able to perform tonight at the Van Andel Arena," the statement reads.
But, the band is prepared as they have enlisted someone to fill the shoes of Randy Blythe.
"However, the show will go on! We are working to put together a special show with our brother Mark Hunter from Chimaira taking over the mic and a few friends helping out as well. We'll see you tonight!," the band announced.
The band has not disclosed any additional information on what would happen on the other upcoming tour dates - only their Grand Rapids set.
More so, Mark Hunter filling in the role might or might not be temporary as there is no information as to whether he will replace the frontman until he recovers from the virus.
Lamb of God started the second leg of their "Metal Tour of the Year" along with another heavy metal giant, "Megadeth."
"Trivium" and "In Flames" will also perform as support for the tour.
Aside from Hunter, "Trivium" frontman Matt Heafy also filled in for a handful of songs on the Tuesday Grand Rapids show, as per Blabbermouth.
Upcoming tour dates this year include performances in Fort Wayne, Indiana, on Apr. 21, Green Bay, Wisconsin, on Apr. 22, and Sioux Falls, South Dakota on Apr. 24.
