Lamb Of God Breaks Silence After Cruise Concert Attendee Went Overboard — Update

Last week, a man reportedly went overboard during an event called Headbangers Boat cruise featuring musical acts from the heavy metal genre. More recently, headliner Lamb Of God finally broke their silence and reacted on the matter.

According to Loudersound, the band issued a statement following the horrific incident, writing: "We're deeply saddened to have learned that a member of our community was involved in a tragic incident. Sending love and light to their family and loved ones."

Aside from the iconic band, other musical acts included in the lineup were Hatebreed, Mastodon, Testament, and many more. The incident took place when the cruise ship was headed back to Miami, Florida, from the Bahamas.

Search Ended For the Man Who Went Overboard During Headbangers Boat

In an update published by Loudwire, originally reported by Metal Hammer, it was revealed that the search for the man has ended after nine hours and the cruise ship, the Norwegian Pearl, went back to Miami, Florida.

Lambgoat reported that there were confusion on board and there have been several reports from people who were at the event, but it was later confirmed that the search has ended.

The Headbangers Ball co-host, Riki Rachtman, took to his official Facebook account to hold a livestream where he shared some details about the incident.

"I get sentimental when I say this, but at about nine o'clock in the morning, they made the announcement that the search was called off. And when that happened, it was devastating and it hurt everybody when you walked around the ship," he said in the video.

Man Went Overboard During Headbangers Boat Cruise Event

In the original report, it was confimed by a spokesperson for a Norwegian Cruise Line that one of the attendees of the event, who was said to be a 41-year-old male, went overboard when the cruise ship was on its way back to Miami.

It happened early in the morning, and Frank Godla, who was at the event, revealed that some of them were woken up when the ship made a hard U-turn which left him confused.

The captain then announced that there was a man who fell in the ocean.

"Our thoughts are with our fallen metal brother and his friends and family," he added.
