Kanye West and Future's new song "Keep It Burnin" from Future's new album I Never Liked You has arrived, and it appears as though the "Hurricane" rapper is not finished rapping about Kim Kardashian.
West appears to rap about real-life events involving his now-ex-wife - whose name is not mentioned in the song - from his purchase of a mansion adjacent to hers to his unsuccessful presidential candidacy in 2020 in the song and music video published Friday (April 29).
The rapper performs in the song video for a birds-eye-view camera under a wobbly spotlight while wearing his characteristic Donda-era face mask. "I'ma buy a home next to your home if I miss you," he asserts in the first verse.
It's impossible for him not to be talking about Kim!
West, who now goes by the moniker Ye, made headlines last year when he purchased a home directly across the street from Kardashian's following their public breakup. The reality star had already began dating Pete Davidson, and some viewed West's move as a ploy to woo her back, however he later stated that his choice was driven by his wish to be closer to the former couple's four children.
However, it is not all. The 44-year-old continues in "Keep It Burnin" to allude to Kardashian's lack of support during his 2020 presidential campaign and following his vocal support for Donald Trump. "Rubbin' on your a-, but the issue is your mouth," he continues, before making a reference to the upcoming presidential election.
"When you run for '24, I bet your spouse gon' be with you. Who put this together? Me, that's who. 'We did it, Joe,' but what they really do?," he rapped.
This would not be the first time Ye has expressed his thoughts about Kardashian in song. He appears to have made multiple references to her in his 2021 album Donda, and recently faced backlash for the song and video for his single "Eazy," which featured violent lyrics directed at Davidson and a claymation West burying the Saturday Night Live star.
Kim Kardashian is not likely to care about it now though. She seems perfectly happy with her new beau Pete Davidson. Even if there were several family drama going on, the two seem to have a world of their own.
For example, Pete Davidson was seen leaving the courthouse with his girlfriend Kim Kardashian using a side exit to avoid being noticed during an ongoing legal dispute between Blac Chyna and the Kardashians. The loverbirds even shared a kiss on the courtroom!
