Avril Lavigne is currently facing a difficult health problem during the rollout of his "Love Sux" album tour throughout her home country, Canada.
Avril Lavigne Postpones 'Love Sux' Canada Tour After Testing Positive for COVID-19
In an announcement yesterday on her social media pages, the "Love Sux" hitmaker shared a worrying health update to her fans.
"To my fans and friends in Laval, QC, Moncton, NB and Halifax, NS, we are sincerely sorry to let you know that we are postponing these shows due to a positive COVID case within the tour and subsequent exposures," Avril wrote.
The shocking revelation came before the Pop Punk Queen took on the stage at Laval, Quebec, Canada, yesterday.
However, the May 1 show was rescheduled for May 7, 2022, as the Moncton and Halifax shows shall be announced in the coming days.
"I/we sincerely apologize and want you to know that this was not a decision we made lightly. We remain focused on everyone's safety and can't wait to see you all very soon," Avril elaborated.
'Love Sux' Album Tour: Future Revealed
Despite the new postponement, the "Love Sux" album tour is still slated to run through Spring and Sumner of 2022.
However, this is not the first time that the 37-year-old singer has moved the dates of her tour due to the deadly pandemic.
Last February 2022, Avril pushed the United Kingdom and Europe leg of his tour to next year on April - May 2023.
"Due to the ongoing issues surrounding the pandemic, there are a series of travel and venue restrictions from country to country that have made the tour not possible to happen," she wrote at the time.
This move, however, did not keep the "Sk8r boi" singer from hopping from one show to another.
Most recently, Avril made a surprise appearance on Olivia Rodrigo's sold-out "SOUR" tour last Friday, Apr. 29, 2022. Lavigne and Rodrigo performed her hit 2002 song, "Complicated," in front of a huge Toronto crowd.
Rodrigo has publicly confessed that Avril Lavigne has been one of her biggest musical influences, alongside Taylor Swift, Gwen Stefani, Alanis Morrisette, and Lorde.
Fans can still purchase tickets for her upcoming Canada, United States, United Kingdom, and Europe tours. More information about the tour and ticketing can be accessed here.
