Miley Cyrus 'Bangerz' Tour NBC Special Resulted in Three FCC Complaints: Government May Fine 'Adore You' Singer, Network

Despite reports from TMZ that the program triggered a "slew" of complaints, Rolling Stone dug up two of the three Bangerz-related complaints, and the main targets seem to be an inappropriate timeslot, poor TV rating and "borderline pornographic" scenes.

"The live Miley Cyrus concert program was borderline pornographic in images and the lyrics to the songs. Open sexuality on a stage bed male/male female/female homosexuality. Very graphic and disturbing for a Sunday evening 9pm summertime broadcast," one complaint reads.

Another concerned parent was upset about the Sunday evening airtime and the show's TV-14 rating. "This was jokingly rated as PG-13/TV-14 and that simply cannot be correct. Miley Cyrus these days needs to be rated either MA or XXX, and nothing of hers should now or ever be aired during any time prior to 12:00 am in whatever time zone her smut is scheduled to air," someone said.

Cyrus likely embraces the complaints as she continues to try and launch her way to sexy adult pop star, though she's unlikely to embrace an FCC investigation. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the government agency is exploring whether or not take action about the program, which may result in massive fines for NBC and Cyrus.

The Miley Cyrus: Bangerz Tour special was a minor ratings flop for NBC, according to Entertainment Weekly, pulling in just slightly over 2 million viewers on July 6.
