The American Idol Season 20 finale is right around the corner, and unlike any other season finale of the show - this 20th season will be extra special as an all-star roster is set to perform soon!

After the Top Five has gone all out with their jaw-dropping performances in front of mentor and fourth season winner Carrie Underwood last Sunday, the final three finalists who will go head-to-head in the finale were finally revealed.

In the end, it was Leah Marlene, HunterGirl, and Noah Thompson who will fight it out for this year's title of American Idol.

Along with the nail-biting announcement, American Idol has also revealed the star-studded lineup of performers for the upcoming season finale. (via Billboard)

American Idol Season 20 Finale Performers

Aside from the people behind the judges' bench - Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Inductee Lionel Richie, Pop star Katy Perry, and Country legend Luke Bryan, the American Idol Season 20 finale would not be short of performers.

American Idol alum and Country icon Carrie Underwood will make a return on the last episode of the season for a performance - possibly to kickstart the recently announced "The Denim & Rhinestones Tour."

Ben Platt, who is also set for the "Reverie: World Tour" will also come by the American Idol stage.

Multi-platinum artist Deana Carter and "Idol" alum Gabby Barrett are among the handful of Country music artists who will be performing. GRAMMY-nominated singer Thomas Rhett will also perform along with TikTok star Tai Verdes.

Melissa Etheridge, Michael Buble, James Arthur, and Earth, Wind & Fire, are also among the others who will perform. Sara Bareilles, who is set to play the Baker's Wife on Broadway's upcoming "Into The Woods" shall also be gracing the season finale.

'American Idol' Renewed For Another Season

The announcement of the Top 3 and the Finale lineup came on the heels of the recent renewal of the "Idol" franchise on ABC for another season next year.

American Idol premiered on Fox in 2002. This renewal marks the singing competition's sixth on ABC, but it's 21st overall.

Just like "The Voice," which has recently announced that its mainstay Kelly Clarkson will be replaced by Camilla Cabello and Ariana Grande with Gwen Stefani, news, of whether the "Idol" judges be replaced or retained, has not yet been announced.

The three-hour Season finale will air live coast-to-coast on ABC beginning at 8 p.m. ET on May 22, 2022 (Sunday).
