Doja Cat has recently gone under the knife, but fans are worried if this would affect her singing career.
The pop star, who recently took home Billboard Music Awards 2022's Best R&B Artist, shared some shocking news with her fans.

In a series of tweets after the Billboard Music Awards 2022, Doja Cat revealed that she had gone a massive tonsil surgery because of a growing abscess.
"dr. just had to cut into my left tonsil. i had an abscess in it. my whole throat is fucked so i might have some bad news for yall coming soon," she tweeted.
Doja graphically details what transpired during her surgery in excruciating detail - noting how it worsened during the Billboard Music Awards after she was spotted vaping before accepting one of her awards.
"nah so my tonsils got infected before bbmas and i was taking f*ckin antibiotics but forgot that i was taking them and then i drank wine and was vaping all day long and then i started getting a nasty ass growth on my tonsil so they had to do surgery on it today," Doja explained.
The "Kiss Me More" hitmaker, who "cried" and was "hurt a lot," had the abscess sucked out after being prodded and drained.
Fans were shocked by Doja's series of tweets, asking more about the surgery. They were also urging the singer to ditch the vape.
The 26-year-old subtly revealed that she is suffering from nicotine addiction - the reason why she is having difficulty ditching the vape and nicotine.
No apparent information is revealed if Doja will still perform, but some are skeptical because she hinted in her first tweet that she "might have some bad news" coming soon.
Doja will be opening for The Weeknd on his highly-anticipated "After Hours Til Dawn Tour." In a series of emotional tweets before, Doja has publicly declared that she might be quitting music soon, following the backlash she received during a canceled performance in Paraguay.
