Leah Marlene is one of those American Idol finalists whose legacy will last for generations. Fans were eager to watch her every week to see what she would perform because of her vivacious demeanor and dazzling vocals. She did not win the competition though, but she won people's hearts and ears for sure.
Now that the competition is over, the second runner-up is eager to launch her music career. According to her, she has not really thought of what to do next yet because much of what she did for the past eight months was to compete and prepare so her life has revolved around "American Idol."
Since she can now take a breather, she said she really does not have any intricate strategy planned. Instead, what she has been doing is putting the pieces together over the past several days.
She is now writing and eager to work her rear end off, as reported by Hollywood Life.
She added that she's ready to work ridicously hard. "I think some people coming out of this experience just need a break because it's a lot, and I'm so surprised by how rejuvenated I feel. I feel like so ready to just go out and do all the things and chase this down in the real world," she shared.
"More specifically to answer the question though, the next things for me are really just going to be assembling a team around me that can help me take it to the next level, and then hopefully I will definitely be releasing new music as soon as I possibly can. I'm already writing and going to be writing a lot of songs." she added.
She also added that fans of her duet with "best friend" Fritz Hager can see more of those. In fact, their duet on the show caught the attention of so many that they attempted to share the full version of the duet immediately after the episode aired, but the legal team blocked them.
Now that they are basically free to do what they want, she said she wants to organize a tour with Hager and many more other content from them both. At present, she shared they are thinking of how to make their vision come true.
Throughout Hollywood Week, Fritz and Leah performed a duet. As they performed "Locked Out of Heaven" by Bruno Mars, their endearing personalities complemented one another. Lionel Richie told the pair at the time that they certainly worked well together.
