Harry Styles fans are celebrating with the release of the singer's newest music video!
Unlike the music video for "As It Was," the upcoming project heavily involved the committed fanbase of the former One Direction member.
Surprise, Surprise! Harry Styles' "Daylight" music video finally hits online, and it is as whimsical and camp as it can be.
While fans thought that the song's music video would be as extravagant as the first one, it's the complete opposite - as it was probably the cheapest music video his team has ever shot.
Harry Styles' 'Daylight' Music Video Shot In THIS Special Place?
James Corden, who is a self-confessed One Direction and Harry Styles fan, aired a special behind-the-scenes segment of them shooting the music video for "Daylight" on his show, "The Late Late Show With James Corden."
The late-night show host directed the music video for the track. Along with Harry Styles, he strolled along with New York and knocked from house to house in an attempt to shoot the music video at one of the houses on the block.
After a few rejections from the first two houses, the duo, disguised as pizza delivery persons, rang a random bell in an apartment complex, to which the homeowners consented to them to enter the building.
Corden did most of the explaining at first, and when the four female flat owners agreed to have a music shot in their apartment, they were surprised to see that Harry Styles was the one shooting.
Coincidentally, the unit owner who was lending their place turned out to be like James Corden - also an avid One Direction and Harry Styles fan. While the show host raided the owner's bedroom, he was taken aback as he saw One Direction and Harry Styles' merchandise and fan-made artworks on the bedroom shelves and tables.
The music video shoot turned out to be a full-blown party, as instructed by James Corden; the unit owners invited more friends to the music video shoot - the host also made a cameo as a partygoer and a green-screen talent.
Before the actual release of the music video, Variety had learned of the skit and spoke to the actual unit owners who were seen in the film.
"If we knew [they were stopping by] we would've at least brushed our hair!" they said.
The skit ended with the actual music video of "Daylight," - which cost James only $300.
