Snoop Dogg and Tupac were two of the best rappers in the 1990s. Both signed to Suge Knight's Death Row Records, the two were very prominent, especially in the west coast hip-hop scene.
Although the two boast varying rap styles, the two still found friendship among themselves. The duo, despite being great rappers on their own, collaborated and made good music together.
More than two decades later, Snoop relived in a new interview what he felt for his good friend at the time he was hospitalized for being shot in 1996.
Tupac Shakur Death: What Happened?

The rapper then blamed what happened to Sean "Diddy" Combs and Notorious B.I.G., prompting him to relocate to Death Row Records in Los Angeles. Thus, igniting the infamous West Coast vs East Coast Hiphop feud in the mid 90s.
Two years later, Tupac and then Death Row Records CEO Suge Knight were caught on video engaging a violent altercation in a lobby of the MGM Grand hotel in Las Vegas. The man who the two were beating was later revealed to be a member of the LA-based gang, The Crips.
Hours later, a white Cadillac blocked the vehicle Knight and Shakur were into on Flamingo Road and opened fire at them. Twelve shots were fired and four hit Tupac and grazed Suge's head.
An emergency surgery for Tupac's severe injuries saved him for the night, but he eventually became unresponsive and died on his hospital bed the following days, despite doctors saying he's getting better.
Snoop Dogg Reveals What Happened Moments Before Tupac's Death
Speaking to Logan Paul's podcast, "Impaulsive," the "Drop It Like It's Hot" hitmaker opened up to Paul what happened to him at Tupac's final moments.
Upon seeing Tupac in his hospital bed, intubated and almost lifeless, Snoop revealed that he apparently fainted as he was taken aback with the state of his good friend.
"Then, his mother, got me up and walked me in the bathroom and had a conversation with me about being strong. She was like, 'My baby ain't never seen you weak. I don't want you to be weak in front of him. You go in the bathroom and fix yourself up and you go back in there and you talk to him and you tell him how you feel...My baby loves you,'" Snoop Dogg recalled.
Death Row Records began its decline after the death of Tupac, Suge's imprisonment, and Dr. Dre's exit. Later this year, Snoop Dogg bought the label back in a historic deal.
