After Halsey's now-viral TikTok video that sparked debate among the music community and her fans, it seemed like the Americana Pop Star would finally have her wish granted.
The track, which was Capitol Records initially prohibited Halsey from releasing, is finally getting a release date after the backlash the label has received online.
Halsey's viral moment came weeks after she publicized her current worsening health status - the 27-year-old singer was diagnosed with endometriosis, which she was first diagnosed in 2017.
Halsey New Song 2022 Finally Gets Green Light After TikTok Drama
Capitol Records, Halsey's current music label, tweeted earlier that her highly-debated single would finally get a release date.
The song, titled "So Good," is hitting streaming services on Jun. 9, 2022, after the song made rounds on the video streaming platform TikTok.
Halsey, who has been actively posting on TikTok, shared a video revealing that there is a song that she wants to release as soon as possible, but her record label won't let her.
"So Good," which was just titled today, played in the background of the now-viral TikTok.
Per Halsey, she has been in the industry for eight years, and she has sold over 165 million records to date.

She argued that her record company, Capitol Records, is saying that she cannot release the track unless they can fake a viral moment on TikTok.
"Everything is marketing, and they are basically doing this to every artist these days. I just wanna release music, man. And I deserve better tbh. I'm tired," the "New Americana" hitmaker wrote.
Her TikTok currently has 8.9 million views. While some were skeptical that the actual video was the "actual viral moment," Halsey clarified this with a follow-up TikTok noting that she wished she was "kidding."
A week after, Capitol Music finally responded, committing the release of "So Good" next week.
Capitol Music explained that they are an "artist first company that encourages open dialogue."
Hours ago, Halsey announced the good news to her fans on TikTok, revealing that the music video for "So Good" would drop the next day after.

She also joked that she could return to using TikTok for her real plan - "using witchcraft to take over the world."
