Kate Bush 'Running Up That Hill' Soars To New Peak on Billboard Hot 100

Just when Kate Bush thought she had already reached her highest peak in the Billboard charts, the most recent chart update begs to differ.

The past few weeks saw how Kate Bush's 1985 classic hit skyrocketed up the charts after "Stranger Things" popularized the song in a now-iconic scene.

Climbing from oblivion to #8 last week, "Running Up That Hill" moved four spots this week on the Billboard Hot 100 charts.

Kate Bush 'Running Up That Hill' Gets New Peak On Billboard Hot 100

On a chart dated Jun. 18, 2022, Kate Bush's "Running Up That Hill (A Deal With God) soared to #4 from #8 - marking the track's highest peak in the Billboard Hot 100 charts so far.

It blasted from its initial #30 spot, which it was last held in 1985 at the time of its release then.

Thanks to "Stranger Things," the song was back again. The Netflix Originals show used the 1985 hit on multiple episodes, primarily for Sadie Sink's character "Max Mayfield."

Bush has professed admiration for "Stranger Things," and in a massive show of support, she has given a huge stamp of approval on the song's inclusion in the hit series.

Kate Bush's "Running Up That Hil (A Deal With God) generated 29 million streams and 2.4 million airplay impressions last week. It also sold 22,200 downloads, as reported via Billboard.

Concurrently, the nostalgic track spent its second week atop the Digital Song Sales chart and took over the #1 spot on Streaming Songs - marking Bush's simultaneous colored performance on all three charts.

Aside from the Hot 100, Streaming Songs, and Digital Song Sales, "Running Up That Hill" also climbed to #1 on the Hot Rock & Alternative Songs and Hot Alternative Songs chart this tracking week.

Billboard Hot 100 Charts This Week

Still taking the #1 spot is Harry Styles' "As It Was" - marking the songs sixth week on the topmost spot.

Coming on second is Jack Harlow's "First Class," despite being next to the summit, it rules over the Radio Songs chart, being the most heard song on the radio this week.

In the third spot is Future's "Wait For U," while Lizzo's "About Damn Time" dips one spot below to #5.

Glass Animals' "Heat Waves" is at #6, while Latto's "Big Energy" is bumped to #7.

Bad Bunny, who recently rebounded to the top of the Billboard 200 charts, holds the #8 and #10 spots with "Me Porto Bonito" and "Titi Me Pregunto."

Meanwhile, Post Malone's collaboration with Doja Cat, "I Like You (Happier Song), is at #9.
