Although the 64th Annual GRAMMY Awards just happened months ago, many fans in the music community are already placing bets on who will win the coveted Album of the Year next year.

With eligibility periods spanning from Oct. 1, 2021, until Sep. 30, 2022, the list of albums eligible for the award is already a mile long! Take a peek at who will go head to head next year.

2022 Albums Eligible For The 2023 GRAMMYs

"30" by Adele

Despite coming late last year, Adele's "30" has broken a lot of her personal bests. With the massive sales both in the United Kingdom and here in the United States, the album is a clear frontrunner in the category.

"Dawn FM" by The Weeknd

Abel's fifth studio album packs an old punch; with its retro-dance themes, the record is clearly in the running for Album of the Year. However, fans worry that with the "After Hours" snub in 2020, this album might not even stand a chance.

"An Evening With Silk Sonic" by Silk Sonic

Silk Sonic swept the GRAMMYs 2022 floor with four wins in all of their four nominations - including Song of the Year and Record of the Year for "Leave the Door Open." The album where the hit came from is finally eligible this year. Would it be this pack's dark horse again?

"Harry's House" by Harry Styles

Currently, Harry Styles holds the record for having the biggest opening week for any album this year. The banger album is surely in the running for the coveted album award. The thing is, can he beat veteran artists in the category this year?

"Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers" by Kendrick Lamar

The critically-acclaimed album that Lamar has produced might be his best album to date. Like its predecessors, the album is one of the category's frontrunners, or maybe in the Hip-hop category, perhaps?

"Renaissance" by Beyonce

Queen B's recent announcement is a game-changer in this category. With her long-awaited return, the queen is up for a huge rematch with Adele, just like in 2017, where the latter beat B in all the big categories. The album is expected to be released in July, reportedly featuring country and dance songs.

"Honestly, Nevermind" by Drake

To everyone's shock, yesterday, Drake announced that he would be releasing his next album come midnight. Like his previous albums, Drake is a GRAMMY favorite, so it would not be a shocker to see the newly-released album next year on the list.

"Red (Taylor's Version)" by Taylor Swift

Even with GRAMMYs new eligibility guidelines, which needed more than 75% of the album to be recorded within five years since release, "RED TV" is still in the running since Swift really recorded and released it last year - contrary to other's theories that it would not be eligible.
