The massive rollout of "Stranger Things" Season 4 Volume 1 at the end of May 2022 catapulted one of 1985's biggest hits back to the charts.

With the show featuring a plethora of era-fitting music, one song stood out from the rest - Kate Bush's "Running Up That Hill (A Deal With God)."

The song was featured in one of the volume's most pivotal moments and became viral in a few days, prompting a commercial surge in the track's success.

Despite the success, Kate Bush remains elusive to the press as she always was, until recently when the track bested the current UK No. 1 holder, Harry Styles.

Kate Bush Drops SHOCKING Revelation On Her Music

Speaking to Emma Barnett on BBC Radio 4's "Woman's Hour," the "Hounds of Love" hitmaker finally opened up on the massive success of "Running Up That Hill" in both the United States and United Kingdom charts.

While the whole world is currently obsessing on her discography, Kate Bush is shockingly not feeling the same hype as everyone else on her previous music.

"I never listen to my old stuff. But then you know, when things like this come along, I'm normally involved in something like you know, maybe doing an edit or revisiting the track for some kind of other reason, I'm working on it. So yeah, I hadn't heard it for a really long time," the singer revealed.

Bush included "Running Up That Hill (A Deal With God)" in 1985 on her fifth studio album, "Hounds of Love." Since releasing the hit, the Ivor Novello awardee has released five more albums - with the last one in 2011.

Currently, the track holds the #5 spot on the Billboard Hot 100 charts and #1 on the UK Singles chart, an all-time high for the track's placement on both charts. Concurrently, both the album and the track hold top spots on the Billboard genre charts.

The GRAMMY-nominated artist has quite low expectations on the inclusion of her song on the Netflix hit.

"I thought that the track would get some attention. But I just never imagined that it would be anything like this. It's so exciting. But it's quite shocking really, isn't it? I mean, the whole world's gone mad," she continued.

Thirty-seven years since it was released, "Running Up That Hill (A Deal With God)" surpasses chart records in the United States and the United Kingdom.

With "Stranger Things" Season 4 Volume 2 hitting the streaming platform on Jul. 1, 2022, the track is expected to even reach the #1 position in the Billboard Hot 100.
