Adele's Las Vegas Residency was one of the most highly-anticipated string of concerts in Sin City this year.
Following the rollout of her banger album "30," the singer has promised a lengthy residency at the Caesar's Palace this year to promote the chart-topping album.
However, due to the recent uptick of COVID-19 in the United States, Adele tearfully announced the postponement of the shows, saddening fans.
With the huge announcement, Adele affirmed to her fans that the residency would push through this year. However, recent reports say that Adele's Las Vegas Residency will not come to life this 2022.
Adele Las Vegas Residency Update
While Adele's massive London Hyde Park concerts are right around the corner, the "Easy On Me" has remained mum on the status of her much-awaited Las Vegas Residency.
Rumors that her Las Vegas Residency was being canceled came to fruition when the Las Vegas Review Journal reported that Caesar's Palace will be laying off employees in the summer.
Eleven full-time employees will be furloughed at the end of Morrissey's residency on Jul. 9, 2022, until the preparations of Rod Stewart's concerts on Sep. 23, 2022.
In the time period in between, the venue remains dark on the remainder of July, the entire August, and the first weeks of September.
Although a source told Variety recently that Adele's Las Vegas Resident cill "definitely" happen this year, the singer has yet to confirm if the news is true. No official comment from Adele's camp, Caesars Entertainment, and its promoted Live Nation has been released.
However, Adele's photo remains displayed on the side of the hotel and their official website.
Currently, there are no available dates for the Caesars Palace until the month of November.
Adele Las Vegas Residency Postponed Abruptly
Adele's Las Vegas Residency abruptly came to a halt as the singer tearfully announced the shocking news on video, released hours before the first show.
Reports have also came out that it was her set designer which caused the show to halt, despite stating that it was COVID-19 who is to be blamed.
"It is absolutely 100% happening this year. It has to happen this year because I've got plans for next year. Imagine if I have to cancel because I am having a baby!" Adele said.
