Yesterday, nearly two months after the saga began, it ended in the 4th Division District Court. The Westerly Sun reported that Horrigan and the two Kading siblings each had their own attorney when they appeared separately in front of Judge Madeline Quirk. Westerly Police Lt. Phil Williams read the details of the alleged incident to the judge. In each case, she dropped the charges when she was told that they had each paid $100 in bail as out-of-state residents and that money had gone to the Rhode Island victims of crime indemnity fund. Each had also completed 10 hours of community service (though what they did, when they performed it or where it was done was not said in open court).
The three have all moved to have their records expunged, according to the Providence Journal.
