After the widely successful return of the Glastonbury Festival 2022, rumors for the lineup of next year's festival are already hitting the headlines.
Sir Paul McCartney, Billie Eilish, and Kendrick Lamar were the main headliners of the three-day festivity.
Billie Eilish was not on the initial lineup. It was only in October 2021 that it was announced that she would be filling in for Taylor Swift's spot - becoming the youngest headliner in the history of the Glastonbury Festival.
Days after it finally concluded, a familiar name emerged again, but now for the 2023 lineup.
Taylor Swift, Kate Bush Finally Performing at Glastonbury 2023 Festival?
This year's Glastonbury Festival was the first one to be held in two years because of the coronavirus pandemic.
The reason for the cancellation at the time made perfect sense considering the onslaught of the global pandemic.
However, the organizers have already announced the headliners for Glastonbury Festival 2020 - Taylor Swift, Sir Paul McCartney, and Kendrick Lamar.
After more than a year, talks of the return of the Glastonbury Festival were reignited. Fans were asking at the time the obvious question - will the three still perform for 2022?
Fortunately, two of the initially set headliners were still up to the job, But for Taylor Swift, the headlining act was not her priority at the time.
Sources reported at the time that Swift "politely declined" the invitation "because 'the timing isn't right.
"Of course, she would absolutely love to headline at some point. It is still on her bucket list but performing isn't her priority right now. She has old albums which she is still working on re-recording and getting those finished is her priority," Swift's team said in a statement.
But Swifties can now rejoice, as the All Too Well hitmaker's name might finally grace the Pyramid Stage after all. (via Variety)
However, nothing has been cast in stone yet, as Glastonbury organizers said that they still have open arms for the singer should she wish to fulfill the spot.
Aside from Taylor Swift, the United Kingdom might finally hear Kate Bush at the Glastonbury stage.
With her recent chart success in the United States and the United Kingdom, her performance is perfect timing for next year, especially with the growing success of Stranger Things, where her song Running Up That Hill takes the spotlight.
Over 200,000 fans have attended the Glastonbury Festival 2022, scoring record-breaking numbers for the BBC.
