Renowned British DJ Tim Westwood is facing heat again after BBC confirms that they have now received six misconduct complaints against him, despite initially denying there was evidence about the issue.

Westwood is notoriously known to be in the middle of controversies since he became a permanent fixture in the media giant - so the issues he is facing right now are not a shocker.

BBC Confirms DJ Tim Westwood's Misconduct Complaints

Last April, BBC Director-General Tim Davie said that there was "no evidence of complaints" found after the media company and The Guardian exposed DJ Tim Westwood's alleged predatory sexual behavior.

The two media companies launched a joint investigation in the same month after accounts of seven Black women had emerged - claiming Westwood's inappropriate touching and sexual misconduct between 1992 and 2017.

The expose was featured in the BBC Three Documentary, "Tim Westwood: Abuse of Power."

Since then, Westwood has denied all allegations. After such, he also stepped down from his show on Capital Xtra until further notice.

Now, BBC News reports that they have received a complaint against Westwood and was revealed to have also been referred to the police.

The complaint is one of the six complaints that the media agency currently holds on Tim Westwood's alleged sexual misconduct and bullying.

A BBC spokesman described the massive predicament to be a "historic" case for the company and assures that they are establishing the facts around it. (via Variety)

The now high-profile case stemmed after a BBC News journalist requested information on the complaints made against DJ Tim Westwood in 2021 under the Freedom of Information Act.

However, BBC declined to confirm or deny if they had any information about the disc jockey's alleged promiscuous behavior.

In return, BBC News implored the Information Commissioner's Office, an office in the United Kingdom that regulates the Freedom of Information Act - which now prompted the confirmation of new evidence.

"We also said that we would dig into what happened in the past. We are doing that with great care. All of that work hasn't concluded and is ongoing. We said we would take this seriously, and we are. When that work has concluded, we will say more," the BBC said in a statement.

Westwood has been embroiled in a plethora of controversies before - encouraging violence on air and even racism.
