Lil Uzi Vert seemingly started identifying himself as nonbinary after silently doing something on their social media account.
Over the weekend, Lil Uzi Vert surprised their followers when the rapper changed his Instagram bio and wrote the pronouns they/them on it.
The rapper has not released a statement about the change, but it came perfectly with the International Non-Binary People's Day on July 14.
They also responded to Yeat's tweet "Yo they" on Sunday morning.
Meanwhile, a representative for Lil Uzi Vert told The Los Angeles Times on Monday that they have no confirmation or comment on the matter yet.
Their change came after several celebrities also updated their pronouns.
In 2018, Ezra Miller came out as non-binary 2018. Meanwhile, Demi Lovato proclaimed in 2021 that they would also use they/them pronouns. Other celebrities who use the same pronouns include Sam Smith, Elliot Paige, G-Flip, and Rose McGowan, to name a few.
It was not the first time they surprised the public, though.
In 2019, Lil Uzi Vert revealed he would quit music.
"I wanna take the time out to say I thank each and every one of my supports, but I'm done with music. I deleted everything. I wanna be normal ... I wanna wake up in 2013," the Philadelphia native said.
However, they still returned in the same year with new music.
Lil Uzi Vert Drops New Song
After changing their pronouns, the rapper gifted their fans with back-to-back songs.
On Monday, the rapper dropped their single "I Know" on Soundcloud. It was released two days after sharing his other single, "Space Cadet."
They shared the cover art for the project last week, featuring a group of men looking at a painting of the rapper.
On top of these, they joined Pooh Shiesty and Gucci Mane on the projects "Next Up" and Nigo on "Heavy" earlier this year.
Last year, they fed their fans with their track, "Demon High."
In another news, the rapper took the spotlight when they left one of the Wireless Festival concertgoers with a bloody head injury. The rapper recklessly threw a phone into the crowd in London's Crystal Palace Park and accidentally hit an attendee's head, causing her to sustain a head injury.
TikTok user Drilla G (@ccornonmycob) shared a video on the platform showing the rapper as he performed his 2016 hit, "Money Longer." He then turned around and picked up a phone before throwing it toward the crowd. The user also released photos of her wound and a video of a medical responder who helped her out of the crowd.
