Kid Rock was forced to take a break from performing "All Summer Long," much to the chagrin of some of his fans. Unfortunately, before the fans were told he was not performing in an event, they have already waited for hours, which naturally made them pissed off.
According to TMZ, the singer was forced to cancel a performance at the North Dakota State Fair, which sparked a melee among eager fans.
The "Bawitdaba" warbler was scheduled to perform at the fair on Friday evening, but a storm on the outskirts of town prevented this from occurring. Kid Rock was scheduled to take the stage at 9:30 p.m., following Night Ranger's performance as the opening act.
At 11 o'clock, however, a sheriff's deputy from the Ward County Sheriff's Department went up to the microphone and announced the cancellation of the event. Unsurprisingly, the 18,000-person crowd was dissatisfied and began to damage the venue.
An angry fan was detained and carried away by police as beer cans were thrown and a man climbed onto the stage before security tackled him.
The North Dakota State Fair said on its Facebook page that the event was canceled due to "safety concerns of the heavy winds, lightning, and severe weather in the vicinity" and offered refunds to concertgoers.
Later, the Michigan-born musician tweeted, "SO PI-ED OFF we could not play for a sold out crowd tonight in Minot, ND (because of high winds).
He also tweeted. "I know it sucks but none of us can control mother nature. Please be safe leaving and take care of each other."
In recent years, the singer of "Redneck Paradise" has made headlines for his support of Donald Trump, use of LGBT slurs, and drunken tirade against Oprah Winfrey.
Kid Rock is such a supporter of the former President that he began his current national tour with an opening video from Trump.
If people think Kid Rock was rude to keep them waiting, only to cancel, they should not have been that surprised. This is hardly the first time that the artist rubbed people in the wrong way.
The artist from Michigan has posted another contentious and potentially destructive message on social media. Just before the Fourth of July, Kid Rock made a statement about "anti-gun" individuals and included a shot at the LGBTQ community.
"If you're anti-gun, you don't get to celebrate the 4th of July. You would have never fought back. Enjoy pride month. P****," Kid Rock stated.
It is also noteworthy that the musician shared this on Truth Social, a social media network developed by former U.S. President Donald Trump.
