R. Kelly has already gotten devastating news before his arrest in 2019.

According to Radar Online, the "I Believe I Can Fly" singer went to the bank weeks before his arrest and discovered he was bankrupt.

Despite having many accounts with them, he barely had $300,000 in total.

After numerous physicians visited with the disgraced star inside the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn to address various issues, the publication was allowed to see a report filed to the court by his lawyers.

The physicians also interviewed other persons who knew him, whose true name is Robert Sylvester Kelly.

In one complaint, they stated, "He pulled out $10,000 for the first time in his life, and his account was stopped a month later."

The testimony, however, contradicts his lawyers' assertion that he had a bank account formed after his incarceration with over $1.2 million, which he moved to a boyhood friend's bank account.

The report was intended to persuade the judge not to sentence Kelly to death after he was found guilty of racketeering and sex trafficking.

It made no difference when the judge sentenced the R&B legend to 30 years in jail. Prosecutors described him as a "monster" who groomed and assaulted women for decades.

Kelly spoke extensively with the medical specialists about his failure to learn to read and write and how he enabled people to take advantage of him.

He remembered that when he was a youngster, he attempted to read for the first time, but the first word that came to mind was "hell."

The musician also admitted that he frequently wondered what was wrong with him and why he couldn't learn.

When he was in school, he was apparently terrified of having to read things aloud.

Kelly also expressed envy for his pals who were able to readily read, write, and interact.

"I always get that if people could see my eyes or hear me read, they'd know I was the moron I was labeled at the time," he allegedly remarked.

R. Kelly also stated that, with the exception of gym, his grades throughout high school were generally F. He was often held back from a grade and was the only student in the class with a beard.

The defendant also admitted that he was "far out of [his] league in high school."

Kelly had many deficiencies in all academic functions, according to a doctor who assessed him, placing him in the first to third percentiles at the bottom throughout early elementary school.

R. Kelly reportedly recounted being a victim of financial abuse, claiming he was informed his net worth was $900 million during "some type of audit."

He also described being taken advantage of by individuals he trusted the most, claiming that he urged one ex-manager to put his money on a recording studio, a piano emblazoned with his name, and even a cigar bar, none of which materialized.
