Adele has postponed her controversial Las Vegas residency gigs but she finally has rescheduled the highly-anticipated shows.
"Words can't express how delighted I am to finally be able to announce these rescheduled gigs," the "Rolling In The Deep" singer said in a statement regarding the revised itinerary.
She expressed her anguish at having to cancel the original dates to her over 50 million fans. Nonetheless, after finally "figuring out" some of the performance's requirements, Adele assures her supporters that they can now deliver and know that they can make everything happen for the concert.
This follows her heartfelt apologies for delaying her residency at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, where she was originally supposed to begin on January 21 and complete by mid-April.
However, the British singer-songwriter uploaded an emotional video in January, citing COVID-19-related concerns as the reason for her Las Vegas residency.
The "Weekends With Adele" residency will now take place in The Colosseum at Caesars Palace from November 18, 2022 to March 25, 2023.
Aside from the 24 postponed events, eight more shows have been added to the calendar.
While fans were ecstatic about the rescheduled "Weekends with Adele" events, the high cost of the tickets surprised many music aficionados.
Many admirers turned to social media to vent their displeasure, with many saying they would rather buy her songs and listen to the 34-year-old Grammy winner.
Tickets for the performances may be purchased through Ticket Network or Ticketmaster.
The cheapest ticket is more than $1,000, while those who want to sit first row will have to spend more than $40,000 for one ticket.
Ticket prices range from $4,000 to $20,000.
The Colosseum has not commented on how or why the "Weekend with Adele" concert tickets are so expensive.
However, the ticket rates startled social media users.
"I enjoy Adele, but even if God was singing, I wouldn't spend that much," one individual joked.
"$40,000 for a ticket to see ANY performer is an absurd amount of money," a second individual commented.
A third individual tweeted that they would download her tunes from the internet.
A fourth person claimed it's horrible and upsetting to pay the exorbitant prices for Adele's Las Vegas shows.
Some fans, though, backed Adele and the ticket fees. "This is not an issue for people who 'worship' her, in my opinion. After all, other individuals spend far more to travel into space."
