Lauv Is Relatable
Lauv's sophomore album boasts 13 songs, starting with the first song he released, "26," a song that narrates the singer's struggle with his mental health.
"The album is about the death of a dream I was chasing and waking to that dream that was (sic) already there," Lauv shared.
Known for penning lyrics based on his life and experiences, fans empathize with the album's tracks. "All 4 Nothing" includes tracks "Stranger," "Kids Are Born Stars," "Molly in Mexico," Stay Together," "Summer Nights," "Time After Time," "Better Than This," "Bad Trip," and "I (Don't) Have A Problem."
Fans are particularly drawn to "Hey Ari," "First Grade," and the title track "All 4 Nothing (I'm So In Love)."
"If you want to really experience the magic of life, you don't get to choose," Lauv said.
"You can't pull magic from places where it doesn't exist. You just have to be aware of its presence in your life, play with it, and create something with it. Ultimately, this album is all about surrendering to love and surrendering to life."
The different tracks of the album impart different messages, with a mix of contemporary and electronic R&B and pop elements, creating a blend that hits the fans right in the feels.
The "f**k, i'm lonely" singer, Ari Staprans Leff, took the stage name Lauv, Latvian for lion. It fits him well, as his first name Ari is Hebrew for Lion, and his zodiac sign is Leo.
Lauv's music is a staple in sad love songs playlists, and unlike his first album, Lauv did not collaborate with other artists for "All 4 Nothing." His first album feature collaborations with Troye Sivan, BTS, Anne-Marie, Alessia Cara, and Sofia Reyes.
Tracks from his playlist "I met you when I was 18" include huge-hit "I Like Me Better," "Paris in the Rain," "Enemies," "Chasing Fire," and "Bracelet."
This playlist put Lauv on music lovers' radar, as they noted how relatable his lyrics and catchy the beats are.
