Kelly Clarkson will be more than just the "American Idol" alum who landed a talk show.
Jennifer Hudson is also entering television and is allegedly thrilled to unveil her own program after working on it for over two years.
According to Star magazine, when Hudson begins her new talk show on Sept. 12, the individuals on it will be recognized because they are from Clarkson's rival show.
"'The Jennifer Hudson Show' will be on Ellen DeGeneres' former set and with much of her crew and producers," an insider informed the magazine.
"Her objective is to retain the bright, pleasant mood Ellen gave," they stated. "Feel-good stories, entertaining interaction with the audience and star guests, and a plethora of musical acts!"
However, the "Dreamgirls" star isn't the only Ellen DeGeneres-backed presenter on the scene, as Clarkson will also take over DeGeneres' time slot this autumn.
"People are already making similarities," the source continued. There is unquestionably competition."
"The Kelly Clarkson Show" will take over the time slot on NBC-owned stations in the autumn of 2022.
The network aired "Ellen" in a number of key areas across the United States.
The decision to replace Ellen DeGeneres' show with Clarkson's has a financial motivation, as Warner Bros. owns and produces "Ellen."
'Jennifer Hudson Show'
According to Variety, Warner Bros. has published a new commercial for "The Jennifer Hudson Show," which is due to air on September 12.
It will include celebrity interviews, community heroes, viral phenomena and music, as well as current events.
It will be shown on Fox TV Stations, Sinclair Broadcast Group, Hearst Television, TEGNA, Nexstar Media Group, gray Media Group, and Scripps Media, according to the source.
Why Did Ellen DeGeneres' Show End?
"The Ellen DeGeneres Show" ended in May after more than 3,000 episodes.
Though the program was reaching its conclusion, it was all due to claims released by Buzzfeedin 2020 stating the show was a hostile workplace, which resulted in the departure of the top three executives and even an on-air apology from the show presenter herself.
However, the "Finding Dory" star also told viewers at the time of the announcement that she is leaving her long-running TV program because "I honestly felt that next season was the perfect moment."
