Young Thug is hit with another lawsuit again while still behind bars. He is being sued by A-1 Concert Entertainment for $150,000.
The rapper is being sued for not showing up to his committed performance, which is due to his recent incarceration; but YSL promised to refund the already paid talent fee.
Waiting until 2023 for his RICO Case trial, Young Thug is currently in jail and was denied bond release twice.
Young Thug Update: Rapper Sued Again For Not Showing Up, Refund Issues
According to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Young Thugs is being sued by Atlanta-based A-1 Concert Entertainment for not showing up to the promised concert despite being paid already.
Because of his current incarceration, the rapper could not fulfill the contract. However, YSL Touring, Young Thug's arm of the company that handles concert commitments promised that they would be refunding the payment made.
Supposedly, Young Thug will be performing at a June 18 concert, but because of his arrest in May and numerous attempt for a bond release, it was made apparent to the team that he would not be performing.
The overall payment is $300,000. A $150,000 was already paid as a downpayment, while the other half will be fulfilled after he finished the 45-minute set commitment. (via HipHopDX)
As of this writing, A-1 Entertainment has not yet received any reimbursement for the canceled Young Thug concert. The company is seeking to get the downpayment back, damages, and lawyer fees.
Young Thug Served With New Charges on RICO Case
This was not the first lawsuit to be added to the long pile of Young Thug's legal conundrum.
Last week, he was charged multiple times again on his existing RICO charges.
The new charges may be heavier than the initial ones - new drug charges and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony and possession of a machine gun.
The information was not new to the authorities as the charges stemmed from the initial seizure conducted on the rapper's residence on the day he was arrested in May.
The indictment, according to Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis, still focused on the 28 Young Slime Life Associates but is only directed to Young Thug, Yak Gotti, Duke, and another YSL associate.
Both him, Gunna, and 26 other YSL associates will be staying behind bars until their scheduled trial in January 2023.
