The altercation between T.I. and The Chainsmokers' Drew Taggart was explained by Taggart, filmed on camera, and uploaded on Tiktok.
The video shows clips in a club with the words "When meeting T.I. goes wrong," followed by a clip of The Chainsmokers in a car discussing what took place.
The TikTok's video was captioned with "my bad T.I. won't happen again... unless?"
"T.I. just literally punched me in the face," he said. "We're in a vibe and I gave him a kiss on the cheek. It was totally my fault."
The Chainsmokers were performing at a club with T.I. and some others when it happened.
The "Whatever You Like" rapper pushed Taggart away and said, "don't do that!" And Taggart quickly apologized.
In the video, Alex Pall, band member of The Chainsmokers, was heard laughing in the background and added that T.I.'s team told him, "you need to get your boy."
Despite receiving a blow to his face, Taggart did not seem to sport a bruise, and added that the issue quickly died down, as T.I. was quick to move on after his apology.
"He was like, 'alright, cool. We're good," The "Roses" singer said. "It was the weirdest interaction ever."
"First of all, T.I.'s fully in the right here. I was feeling the vibes way too hard and I kissed T.I. on the cheek. And he punched me in the face for it! It's like, fully fine," he added.
'We Took A Shot'
T.I. confirmed Taggart's narration of what went down at the nightclub, and added that all is well between the two.
"I have nothing negative to say, we just had to work through some stuff, you know what I mean? We got to a much better place," the 41-year-old rapper said.
"I think the important thing to take away is that afterward, we had a drink, we took a shot," he said in a video clip. "You know what I'm saying? And we moved on."
