In the music industry today, it seems like everything is possible through modern technology. Many artists have been using it to pay homage to musicians who already died years prior. This is what Paul McCartney did to his Beatles pal John Lennon.

More recently, the late singer's son Julian Lennon spoke out and revealed his true feelings over the legend's virtual duet with his father.

In an interview with Mojo, the musician revealed he already watched the performance on YouTube and he's not sure if he's comfortable with the thought of the guitarist singing with his father using a big LED screen.

"I don't know if I'm comfortable with that.' It shocked me," he said. (via Ultimate Classic Rock)

He also noted that it was hard for him to see the late legend "brough to life" in that way.

His perception immediately changed when he watched Paul perform live at the Glastonbury Festival, saying he eventually "enjoyed" it.

Paul McCartney Duets With John Lennon in 2022

Many fans were shocked during the opening night of Paul McCartney's "Got Back" tour earlier this year as a giant John Lennon appeared on the screen.

The two sang the Beatles classic "I've Got a Feeling."

Paul performed in Spokane, Washington, as video footage of the late legend plays in the background.

How Did They Pull Off the Virtual Duet?

The musician said Peter Jackson was able to isolate the vocals after getting the idea of including John Lennon sing his part in the song "Here Comes The Sun."

Peter said he was initially nervous about the idea as he thought Paul already received almost the same idea over the years and he doesn't want it to appear "too geeky."

"Finally, I thought, 'I'm going to regret this for the rest of my life if I don't even suggest it.' I sent him a text. I didn't send him the mock-up version, just a text trying to describe it to him," he recalled.

10 minutes later, the guitarist replied, saying he thought the idea was fantastic and he wanted to include it in his tour.

Julian Lennon Updates

Julian Lennon released a new song ahead of the release of his upcoming album. The track is titled " Lucky Ones."

The song is an anthem to "inspire hope and unity." One part of the track featured an anthemic hook to remind people that we are the "lucky ones" as he wanted to call for revolution in the environment through music.

His album, titled "Hey Jude," will be available for streaming and purchase starting September 10, 2022.
