Possible Jail Time For Baldwin
He is now facing 17 charges against him, including four B-level assault felonies, four D-level felonies, reckless driving, fleeing from a police officer, and other charges.
B-level felonies can bag jail time up to 25 years, while D-level felonies can reach up to 7 years. As of this writing, Baldwin's lawyers noted that this is his client's first brush against the law.
"I do want to remind everyone he's presumed innocent, and there's more to this story than the NYPD's version," said Ken Belkin, Baldwin's attorney, to Fox News Digital.
"My client is a good man who has never been in trouble before."
Wallace echoes the lawyer's sentiments and posted Baldwin's $1 million bail. According to reports, Wallace had to put up her $1.5 million Brooklyn house for the bail.
Baldwin's next court day is set for Oct. 18; if convicted, he could face up to 25 years of jail time.
Who is T'yanna Wallace?
Wallace is one of Biggie Smalls two children. The late rapper adored his daughter, she was mentioned in his song and featured in his 1994 music video for "Juicy."
Despite dying while she was a toddler, Wallace was left well provided for. "T'yanna has a trust fund in place for her education to make sure that that happens the way her father wanted," said Jan Jackson, Wallace's mother, in an interview in 2012.
The 29-year-old is not into music, but she does have run Notoriouss, a clothing botique in New York. ""I went to Penn State. My major was business and then around my sophomore year I was like I really want to start a clothing line and I really want to do something dedicated and kinda inspired by my dad," she shared.
"I wanted to do something where I could continue his legacy and I don't do music, so it wasn't going to be that. So, I wanted to do something that would keep his name alive and also have me included in it."
